North Fork Valley Grown, Freeze-Dried Fresh

Organic produce, powders, and prepared meals from a small family farm outside Hotchkiss — grown, freeze-dried, and hand-labeled by Julia and Noel.

Our Story

Where the name "JuNo" comes from

2017Founded

Julia + Noel = JuNo

Julia and Noel started Juno Farms outside Hotchkiss in 2017 — the name is literally the two of them, first names combined. It began as a small operation with a simple idea: grow real food in the North Fork Valley and put it into people's hands with as little processing, and as much honesty, as possible.

20Shares, total

A CSA capped at 20 shares — on purpose

Rather than growing the CSA as large as it could go, Julia and Noel deliberately keep it small: 20 shares, no more, spread across multiple North Fork Valley pickup locations. The cap isn't a limitation — it's the product. It's what lets every shareholder get direct, ongoing communication with the two people growing their food, instead of becoming a name on a list.

TodayThe farm now

Still small, still hands-on

Every jar, pouch, and CSA box still comes off the same farm outside Hotchkiss, hand-labeled by the two people whose names made the brand. Nearly a decade in, Juno Farms is still what it set out to be — a real, small North Fork Valley operation, not a co-op or a distributor.

What We Make

Every label still gets written out by hand

Freeze-dried, not dehydrated — Juno Farms' whole product line is built around retaining what a fresh vegetable, fruit, or herb actually is, not just what's left after it's been dried out.

CSA memberships, fine powders, and everything in between

The CSA is the heart of it — multiple pickup locations around the North Fork Valley, 20 shares total. Alongside that: freeze-dried fruit, vegetable, and snack packs (strawberries, apples, pears, peaches, tomatoes, veggie mix), fine fruit and spice powders (thyme, mint, garlic, lemon, apple, strawberry, red onion), and freeze-dried meals and candy.

Juno Farms' hand-drawn strawberry marked 97 percent — their own nutrient-retention artwork No preservatives, no added sugar — just fresh produce, freeze-dried.

Imagine What's Next

A few possibilities for a farm this hands-on

A facelift is just the beginning. Here's what a technology partner could build alongside Julia and Noel — none of this exists yet, just possibilities worth imagining.

POSSIBILITY 01

An after-hours order & CSA waitlist assistant

Imagine a text line that answers "do you have any CSA shares open?" or "is thyme powder back in stock?" at 9pm on a Sunday — instantly, without Julia or Noel having to stop what they're doing on the farm.

POSSIBILITY 02

Seasonal restock reminders

Imagine a regular spice-powder customer getting a one-tap "reorder your garlic powder?" text right when they're likely running low — instead of Juno Farms hoping they remember to come back.

POSSIBILITY 03

Automatic review requests after pickup

Imagine every CSA pickup or market sale quietly triggering a friendly "how was it?" text a few days later — turning years of happy customers into the public reviews the farm doesn't have yet.

These are ideas, not features of the current site — a glimpse of what's possible alongside the farm that's already here.
